Scotland U21 v Austria U21 *Over 2.5 Goals*

Scotland host Austria tonight at St Mirren Park in the UEFA U21's Championship.

A big game for Scotland tonight, one that will need to go for the win in to keep in with a realistic chance of qualification.

They come off the back of a 1-5 win over Luxembourg so confidence will be high in the Scotland camp especially in attack.

Scotland have had a good record at home over the past few years and have only been beaten once here in 10 games.

Their last game here finished 0-0 but before that 8 of their previous 9 had all gone over the 2.5 goal mark with 4 of those games featuring at least 4 goals.

They have some hot prospects in their squad the one that impresses me the most is 21 year old Jordan Rhodes, he banged a hatrick in Scotland's last game  and has already scored 4 goals this season for Huddersfield, last season he scored 16 times and the season before that when he was just 19 years old he managed 19 goals, I have seen him play for Huddersfield many times and he always impresses.

As much as Scotland tend to play well at home they will surely be tested tonight when Austria visit.

Austria are a very attacking travelling side, they always play for the win.

Before their most recent defeat to Netherlands, Austria had played 7 games in a row and all went over 2.5 goals.

Away from home they have recently beat Luxembourg 1-4.

Their last 7 away games have all featured at least 3 goals.

Austria have scored in all of their last 10 away games.

I expect this to be pretty end to end game tonight, Austria play a pretty open style of football anyway and Scotland will not be happy with anything but a win tonight, a draw could mean them having to win in Austria in the reverse of this fixture and that would be no easy task.

I wont touch the 1x2 market, for me this game could go either way but I am confident enough to back the over 2.5 goals in this one.

I have to say I am surprised to see that Stan James  have this market priced as high as 1.8, several bookies are as low as 1.64 and that is the kind of price I would expect so plenty of value here, take the 1.8 at Stan James.
